Dad was 42 when he decided he could no longer cope with his torment & killed himself - april 1988.
He was a primary school teacher & apart from 3 years at college, lived his whole life in our small
isolated town on the edge of the Lake District.
The violent end to his life devastated his family - me, my brother & our mam, as well as his brother
& his family.
The manner of his death has made it hard to remember the millions of happy times we had, but he
really was a charmer, a 'jack the lad', - he did 'fill a room' with his prescence. He had a
wonderful smile, & really was the best Dad in the world.

Debbie, I have just come across this site for your dad and I wanted to add a tribute to him, your dad was a lovely, caring sensitive man who taught me at Haverigg Primary School, I always enjoyed his classes because we always had a laugh and it never seemed like teaching, I remember the day I heard he had died and I felt so sad for you and your family, such a waste of a talent, but he will be at peace now I hope, probably teaching the kids in heaven, RIP Mr Simons you were one of the best xxx

Broken Hearted
Please shed no tears for me

I was pleasantly surprised to find

so very sorry for your loss and i can say i know the pain and heartache that your family have went through, i lost my partner of 12 years and the father of my 4 girls on 27th dec 07 when he decided that he too couldnt go on with life.
